R&TTE指令(1999/5/EC)第4.1条定义了无线电与电信终端设备的类型。
欧盟委员会(EC)在2000年4月6日发布的2000/299/EC决定中规定了最初的设备类型及相关标识符号。
其中2000/299/EC第11款指出的1类设备,可以不受任何限制地投放欧洲市场和投入服务。
据此,对于2.4GHz、输出功率大于100mW的产品定义为2类设备,该类产品销售至欧盟市场时应在CE标志上加注惊叹号警告符号(见下图)。
只有输出功率小于10mW的设备才可以定义为1类设备,标签上无需加注惊叹号警告符号。
2012年7月,欧盟委员会在向成员国咨询后发布了一份文件(指导文件文本:WORD、PDF),列出了属于1类设备范畴的指导性产品清单(见表1)。
根据这份文件,2.4GHz、输出功率小于100mW的产品可定义为1类设备,CE标志上无需加注惊叹号警告符号,如在2400 MHz~24835 MHz频率范围内工作的宽带数据传输设备(22子类)。
文件中没有给出过渡期。不过,已上架产品(already on stock)应该没有问题。
